Entertaiment is a general term used to describe activities that provide enjoyment, amusement, or divertissement. These activities may include watching movies or TV shows, listening to music or attending concerts, playing sports or games, social gatherings, eating meals out or at home, or creating visual art. Entertainment has evolved to be able to be adapted for any size audience or occasion and can range from something created for an individual as personal amusement or pleasure to ceremonies, celebrations, religious festivals, or satire for the benefit of large audiences. The word originates from the Latin inter tenere, or to hold within.
